Eric Lipsetts

Corporate Law

Graduate cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, law clerk on the D.C. Court of Appeals, a veteran of hundreds of trials, Eric Lipsetts has represented some of the largest corporations in the world. He won the first "reverse bad faith" decision in U.S. history, has represented unions in litigation against the District of Columbia, and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients.

Mr. Lipsetts began his career at a major law firm in the District of Columbia, where he specialized in white collar crime. From that beginning, he saw that quality legal services could be rendered at fractions of the costs charged by larger firms. Accordingly, he started his own firm in 1992, with the idea of bringing large law firm quality to clients at small law firm prices.

Mr. Lipsetts carries this philosophy into all of the matters he handles, how to get the best result for the client at the least price. "When a case comes in, both lawyers usually know how the case is going to end up. My approach is to go the other lawyer and try to get that result, at the beginning. If, however, the other side wants to litigate, we will pursue our case intelligently and aggressively."
